FRP has a long history in many industries, its corrosion and impact resistant nature combined with low maintenance anti-slip properties makes it an ideal, if underused, fit in the modern sawmill. FRP replaces things like steel stair treads, catwalks, and other platforms. FRP can also be found in handrail systems and has multiple resin types for different demanding applications.
FRP is lightweight and easy to install. It does not conduct electricity, which makes it safer than metal grating. It is weatherproof and extremely durable. In short, FRP is a superior alternative to metal in many applications in the modern sawmill. So why are you not using it?
